What is a luxury or high end remodel?
There are may ways to remodel a kitchen, bathroom or even the entire house and many things to take into consideration before beginning your remodel. One of the first things to consider is the quality of materials and workmanship. Not all building materials are made equal. As with most things, there are low, middle and high quality products you can buy when doing each stage of your remodel.
We use only high quality building materials that will last. Of course, It doesn’t make sense to use low quality building materials in a luxury remodel. However, many of these materials will remain unseen, so there are many contractors that opt to save money and increase their profit, by using low quality building materials that the client will never see.
Our teams are highly trained and qualified artisans with over 20 years experience in remodels. They take great care in making sure the work is at the highest level with attention to detail at every level.
For example, let’s look at tile work. Your finished tile work should be a major showcase item in your home. A good tile artisan will be able to make your finished tile work a masterpiece and an eye catching aspect of your design. Precision installation using high quality thin-set and grout combined with quality tile will produce clean lines and add sparkle to your environment.
Sometimes a client will want to save money and buy a cheap tile set. Without the knowledge of how to install tile or how tile behaves during installation, it is an easy mistake to make. Often times it will cost the client more money in the end due to the extra time it takes to install low quality tile.
That being said, you don’t always have to spend a ton of money on the tile itself, our designers can help you choose a quality tile that will look amazing when installed with a high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail.
Paint is another area where people make mistakes with regards to the quality of materials. Most people do not understand the difference between mid-grade and high grade paint. While HomeDepot may be a great place to purchase many building materials, it is not the place to buy your paint. We have contractor accounts with both Dunn-Edwards and Sherwin Williams. Both of these offer three difference grades of paint, all of which are better quality than what’s available at HomeDepot. Initially, you may not notice the difference, especially to the untrained eye, but over time you will see how light affects the hue and sheen of the paint and how low quality paint will fade over time.
Investing in your home means you value quality materials and a high level of workmanship. Your home is a reflection of your values and priorities. Why not make your home the most beautiful it can be? After all, you spend a significant amount of time in your home these days and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.
